I heard they were gearing up for this at Shepperton a while back but nothing beyond that - it's great to hear more
I like the sound of this - it should be good. But I reckon the 1980s series will still be the definitive version afterwards.

Never saw the original, but I've actually read the book (which was quite good). Not sure I think much of this remake idea.
