Our fathers ate manna in the desert,
In the burning place where whirlwinds came.
Lord, save us from that horrible land!
Save us, oh-h-h-h-h save us
From that dry and thirsty land.
-Songs of Gurney Halleck, Museum of Dar-es-Balat
Teg, Lucilla and Duncan emerge from the no-room into the snowy night and are almost immediately attacked by waves of Face Dancers from the valley below. Above them are what Teg believes are Burzmalli's men, he sends them upwards and stays behind to defend their escape with lasguns. After Teg stalls the attack, he turns to catch up with Lucilla and Duncan and is hit in the face with a stunner.
