Chapter 37

Post by Freakzilla »

If you believe certain words, you believe their hidden arguments. When you
believe something is right or wrong, true or false, you believe the assumptions
in the words which express the arguments. Such assumptions are often full of
holes, but remain most precious to the convinced.

-The Open-Ended Proof from, The Panoplia Prophetica

Leto awakens in Jacurutu where Namri, father of Javid, plays out the old Fremen riddle game with Leto. Should Leto fail to answer it means his death. Leto searches his Other Memory for the answers and according to Namri wins a "provisional future". Leto senses Jessica's and the Bene Gesserits' hand in this. Namri is his Gom Jabbar. Namri leaves, telling him the one who trapped him will be in to see him soon.
They were destroyed because they lied pretentiously. Have no fear that my wrath
will fall upon you because of your innocent mistakes.

~Leto II, God Emperor
