Well, at least the John Carter on Mars project and Barbarella remake have been cancelled.
Always a silver lining.

Predator doesn't need a reboot. It's not exactly high art, but it's fine as is. Besides, the whole Alien/Predator universe has pretty much been played out. Unless they plan to take the material seriously and actually do something with it rather than abuse it as more awful summer fluff. I suppose they could do a lot worse than Rodriguez.

Ahh yes, as a teenager I was quite fond of Barbarella. What teenage boy wouldn't be?
Predator reboot? Hey, it could conceivably be an improvement. Just think about the benefits of replacing Schwarzenegger with someone who can actually act!

I like Predators. I'd go see a real movie about one. Hell, I rent those shitty Alien/Predator movies, so I'd see this thing for sure.

Predator 1 & 2 were one of those "watch until the tape melts" movies when i was a kid. But if it's Rodriguez who's doing a new movie, then it's gonna be taking place in the past, somewhere around the imperial age, if the stories about his script are true.
