Ahhhhhhhh! That was good. Now once I can get my wife to stop watching Eli Stone, 2008's very own version of Ally McBeal, as far as can tell, I'm gonna watch a recorded episode of Reno 911, perhaps the funniest show on TV, ever.

There's no big hoopla about anything really. It all depends upon what gets you going. Honestly, I'd say a large part of the anime's appeal is the lack of availability and the need that creates. We have animation, but it's not the same nor as numerous in production nor as broad in scope. Anime is di...

I think you could probably support a methamphetmine habbit for cheaper than going to Starbucks. :P I did the math one day. For a 25 year old person, if you take the amount of money that one typically spends on Starbucks every day, and subtracted the amount that it costs to make coffee at home, with...

You gotta let me see the pile that you have, bro. I still want to get those zombie comics you loaned me a long time ago. I think I read the first one or two and loved it, then never got the rest. Do you know what Im talking about; what they are called? Because I dont remember.

But I am talking of course about the restaurant on 21st and Broadway. The entire place has a thin layer of pancake syrup on every surface (and in the coffee). Good thing that stuff is not flammable! Ragabash and I both live very close to that place. So, where do you go for coffee? Starbucks? LaBou?...

I hope this won't be taken the wrong way, but anyway, here goes... The Herberts are shitting all over Frank's legacy and they banned a bunch of us from their BBS...but a few of you still go there and post. One admin on Arrakeen goes fairly full-tilt batshit and does some things which (I'm assuming)...

I've only seen "V..." once and liked it well enough for what it was. Maybe it wouldn't hold up after repeated viewings, though. (Note: it was on one of my satellite movie channels for a month, so I had the opportunity to watch it more than once. I didn't, so maybe that says something?) Bu...

I think we need a rule for quoting. After all, the thread is right here for all to read. No need to repost a dozen+ replies except the last post to which you are replying :) I'm not much of one for rules, GamePlayer. That is something Hyppo would try to do. Besides, if I implement a rule lik...

I have not. All of my McCammon save for Under the Fang went into the Great Darkness years ago. I need to reacquire them all, and I was planning on doing that soon so I could add them to the review pages. Ill include that one now, too!

I like Battlefield Earth. It it was not for all that weird Hubbardian hero-worship, I think I would like it a lot more. But when I bought that book a few years ago the clerk looked at me and asked "isnt that the book that that horrible movie came from?" It really is a shame that movie suck...

I like Zack Snyder, but I have to say I honestly don't expect much from this next Moore adaptation. Perhaps I'm just being negative, but I don't think Snyder is the right man for the job. Then again, this could be a chance for Snyder to display some chops and create a film with a lot more substance...

This is just all too bad. Hyppo, and Byron too, I guess, can kiss my ass. But I loved those forums in their heydays.

Maybe I should expand the Dune section? Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't think I'm going to read any more of them. I have enough ammo in my head now. But if some colossal stupidity comes out in a later book, that makes it worth my time to read, I will pick it up.

From Hell? Was that the basis of the movie with Johnny Depp by the same (I think) name? God, I hope not. If it is, no fucking way I'm gonna bother with it. It is but there were there were numerous changes made to the source material, its very different from the movie. Rob I think that's just one of...

I usually dont go in for SF/horror cross-overs, but this one was great. But I personally liked the scene where they were rewiring Ash's decapitated head to tell them what was going on.

From Hell is amazing, the appendices are just as worthwhile as the regular tale. I own a page of original art from FROM HELL signed by Eddie Campbell. I've flipped through the I AM LEGEND adaption but really can't say how good it is, its black and white and it looked good at a glance. Rob I saw a p...
