Obama

Found this in my inbox today, and it looks like its getting around quickly. Interesting..... The Obama Campaign exposes a weakness in the evangelical church By Tony Liston This is not about politics - not directly, anyhow. Nor is it about Obama, though my personal opinion of him will probably be obv...

Hmmm... I should have mentioned this earlier. That site was created by my fellow Wordpress blogger crotchetyoldfan , whose loathing for the Sci-Fi Channel runs as deep as mine. I saw that on Chronicles last night and watched a lot of A Boy and His Dog before I went to sleep. I watched some of that ...

Well, he is getting sloppier, if anything. Im not convinced that means that he is getting tired of fighting us. Someone has gone and made a true believer out of him. I wonder how we can crack that shell?

The Last of the Winnebagos, by Connie Willis

http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/0553564366.02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg Connie Willis is not one of my favorite authors, but I usually either love or hate her work. I have not really read much: A few stories, a few novellas, and To Say Nothing of the Dog, which I hated. This book started out as one that I ...

Pre-DN Deleted Comment Archive

Its no secret at all that we cannot trust der Uberfuhrer over at DN to respect the sanctity of our closely held beliefs; at least as described in our posts. So I'm going to start archiving mine here before captain-censorship hits that magic button of his. Here is my latest: Can anybody point me to a...

New Dune Movie

The new Dune movie's producers are in negotiations with a writer , and it does not look good. Who the fuck is this guy ? Other than the one thing listed on his profile, he has a pending credit writing on something called The Infiltrator , and did some "production work," (apparently without...

I do not happen to be one of those, but I do greatly respect the man, and I will read anything he wrote at least once. Fortunately much of what he...

Seven Suns

I found this review on another SF site and wanted to comment on it here (as I did there). About Seven Suns, someone said: I would not like to give away much of the plot, but it is a series, all interconnected, so not just individual novels set in the same 'universe'. The whole story is told in 7 boo...
