Fringe

JJ Abrams is supposed to have a new X-files sounding show coming out soon. IMDB does not have too much on it though, but that article makes it sound like a knock-off.

That doesn't just sound like a knock-off; it IS a knock-off. It could be used as the new definition of knock-off:
A television drama centered around a female FBI agent who is forced to work with an institutionalized scientists in order to rationalize a brewing storm of unexplained phenomena.

Looks like there is another X-Files knock off out there. This one is called Fringe, and according to the blogs it is the next in a long line of copies. Adding to the confusion is that this is a retooling of a failed show starring Patrick Stewart that didn't even make it to the third episode in the states before. I suppose that they thing the best way to remake a turd is to take a few steps backwards, no? Not like they haven't got KJA to give them inspiration for making turds and going backwards, no?

Maybe this is happening now because the X-Files actually is making a comeback?

For those of you interested in the original topic of this post, the new JJ Abrams show, Fringe, here is a spoiler laden write up by a fan. Take it for what its worth, some rambling pre-teen with extremely high expectations, probably.
