Lost

Post by Omphalos »

Do we have any Lost viewers here besides me? I just went through all six season three disks in like three days. I was up until 5am one night. I love that show!

Its looking like they are going to be spending quite a bit more time on the island, per Lostpedia. Good. More Lord of the Flies kind of action!

I love Lost. I think it's one of the best shows I've ever been hooked on. I really should buy the DVDs so I can watch it all again.

What does Lostpedia say about the writer's strike? Are we going to have a full season?

Its a pretty big site, so I have not looked at it all, but they are being suspiciously quiet. I think its going to probably have an effect. I think its also going to allow SF channel to squeeze one more year out of BSG.

I'm hooked, too.

We just finished Season 3 about a month or so ago. Are we caught up? Has Season 4 started? Finished? Should I avoid this thread and possible spoilers? Am I on drugs?

The Lostpedia has all kinds of details on new and nasty characters. They look a far shade worse than The Others, who I am sure are going to go kind of rogue and ambush the new people as much as possible. The Losties look to be made into slaves of some sort.

Charlie makes a few cameos too. Im gonna miss that lil fucker.

What? OH.. do you mean it'll allow the SF channel to drag out the final season of BSG for an extra year? Yeah there have been rumors of that.

I wonder how much of season 4 will be back home? I can't wait to find out who Kate had to get back home to. Bah! I want Lost now.

Actually, I hope that they minimize that story as much as possible. I love the island action.

But what I want to know is who was in that coffin? Michael's kid?

Heard any rumors about how its all supposed to end up, or what is going to happen next season (whenever the hell that is)?

I have been neglecting my BSG forum during the hiatus but I'll nose around and see what I can find tomorrow. I'm sure there's been some leaks.

lol.. I'm doing the Lost happy dance. There have been surprisingly few leaks this season.. or maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. Anyway, I'm thinking this season will be as great as the last one.

I lasted till season two. I watched most of season three only because my friends wanted to watch their new DVD sets. I'm not really that interested in it. It's just dragging too much. Like "24" it feels like a new way too hook people into watching more commercials week after week with one amazingly dramatic cliffhanger after another, after another, after another. Precious little is actually happening and I quickly grew bored.

I will say that the pilot was fantastic and the first season was tight.

I would have agreed up until the second half of season three, when things got really interesting. There were so many holy-shit moments in that string of episodes that I lost count. I can't wait for the new season to start.

It did kind of approach the shark tank there for a bit, but by the end of season three, it was right back on track. IMHO though, it never got as close to the ramp in front of said shark tank as BSG did, and fortunately they both veered away before the end.

I just watched the season three DVD's, and loved them! It was much better without having to wait a week between episodes.

But see that's just the thing; I can deal with the lows of a show as long as I know that the story will have a conclusion. That conclusion will ultimately decide whether I like the show enough to hail it as one of my all time favorites or if I'm ready to sell off my DVD sets. I can forgive BSG (2004) much easier than I can forgive Lost because I know BSG is going to eventually wrap. BSG doesn't need a cliffhanger or a gimmick to snag me; it has me until the end of season four. But BSG knows it has to fucking deliver.

Lost is too much of a fucking tease, like the hot girlfriend you kept dating that never had any intention of putting out. Every date is one disappointment after another, yet just before she leaves each night she grinds up against you, slips the tonge and slides her hand down the back of your pants. You're convinced you're just one more date away from hitting that, but without fail you're left dry every time. :P

haha.. Lost is a tease, but I read somewhere that they had a definite end planned. Can't remember how many seasons they plan to go with it though.

Yeah, I heard Lost was tentatively planned for 6 seasons. There's no way I have patience to wait that long. Even if the sex is good, I won't go through that kind of boring foreplay ever again.

See, BSG (2004) was kinda awkward and shy during the mini-series, but we still had fun. By the time season one was over, she had laid me good and proper. She knows I'll come back for more and even if she's not at her best every time, she knows I appreciate her and will sing her praises.

Lost is still stuck in high school, figuring I'm gonna be strung along with her empty promises for as long as she wants. Well I'm not waiting around for her to grow up. Lost might be hotter and more popular than BSG, but everyone knows those girls are never as good a lay as they let on. Besides, even if I did get down with that, there's no way I'll ever put up with her shit again. So I dumped her :)

Just stay at your desk and think about our old math teachers, Nan Fuller and Heidi Helwig. It'll go away.

Like Austin Powers says, think Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day and I guarantee you'll go a big rubbery one inside of five minutes :)

Ahhhhhhhh! That was good. Now once I can get my wife to stop watching Eli Stone, 2008's very own version of Ally McBeal, as far as can tell, I'm gonna watch a recorded episode of Reno 911, perhaps the funniest show on TV, ever.

Anybody notice that Hurley crashed into a bunch of mirrors? For a guy trying to break his bad-luck spell - NOT THE WAY TO DO IT.
