      Angel-Art's figures

      Post by Kwisatz »

As you may know I had a big wedding last year. One of Dune accents was Fremen pair on top of wedding cake. The artist who made it, basing on Sillof's design suggest that she could make her own version of Chani. Now it's time to share the results of her efforts with all of you. Let me know if you like it or not. What do you think we could improve if any, etc. Also if you like it enough to have it, it's on eBay right now ;)

      Few technical informations:

A unique figurine made of high quality colorful polymer clay. The whole was modeled from scratch by hand. Figure’s outfit is pearl dusted, which gives it a glow. In addition, after a couple of minutes of exposure to light, figure phosphorylates for some time in the dark. Her boots, tubes, crysknife and eyes are glowing in the dark. It will be slightly visible on last photos.

Chani is in sietch’s costume, half stripped from stillsuit, ready for a fight (like Paul with Jamis duel).

Figurine is 23 cm (9,1”) tall.

I think it's awesome, but I'm a sucker for glow in the dark boob... boots sorry :)

On the whole it's nicely done, but she's too caucasion, IMHO.

If I am going to criticize it, I think her features look "elfin," but they also look a bit like she's had too much plastic surgery. I guess I'm saying her facial features look pulled to me, especially the eyebrows, cheek bones and the lips.

Glow in the dark is kinda cool. If I were a lonely man that'd help me find her when my bedroom lights were turned off so I could hold her close to me as I sleep.

      Whoops! Was that out loud?

Second version of Chani is in sietch’s costume, practically stripped from stillsuit. There is only coat, boots and underwear.

Figurine is 15 cm (5,9”) tall. Dimensions of the base: 18x12 cm (7,1”x4,7”).

Does she look like Zsa Zsa Gabor to anyone else?

Our latest figurine - 3rd stage Guild Navigator.

He has transparent membranes between fingers and toes and also on hands and legs. His brain is glowing in the dark (after exposition to strong light). His eyes are also glowing (but it's not a strong effect). He is levitating over the base.
