Here is a link to a NPR broadcast about the book, with some interviews:

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor ... d=92008378

Im putting this here hoping that you all click on the link. The more we click on the link, the more likely NPR is to do broadcasts about SF, as they track these sorts of things.

For those of you interested in the book, here is link to Night Shade Books:

http://nightshadebooks.com/cart.php?m=p ... ate=1&p=18

Scroll down a bit and you shall find it.

I've read a couple of his stories, and I can't see what all the fuss is about. 'People of Sand and Slag' just struck me as depressing and not very well written. And 'The Fluted Girl' has been done before, and better - Eric Brown's 'The Death of Cassandra Quebec'.

The People of Sand and Slag was an incredible story. That is what the fuss is about. The Calorie Man sucked, IMHO, but just about everyone else loved it. But hte point here is to click on this to get NPR to do more stories on SF books and authors. They are on the cusp now of goig whole hog, and I would love it if they went all the way.
