I think SC's blog has gone the way of 'Keen.

How sad that is !

Nothing, in truth, can ever replace a lost companion. Old comrades cannot be manufactured. There is nothing that can equal the treasure of so many shared memories, so many bad times endured together, so many quarrels, reconciliations, heartfelt impulses. Friendships like that cannot be reconstructed. If you plant an oak, you will hope in vain to sit soon under its shade.

Why must we preserve HToD's legacy? It's important because we must never forget the fights that took place 10 years ago.

In my opinion, there is no OH community without a corresponding memory that records its trajectory in time, and no such trajectory without the active construction of a past order to support a given identity in the present.

An OH community without its records is a community under siege, defending itself, its goals, its identity, and its version of history without a firm foundation on which to stand.

That's why we must keep and preserve HToD and the ChiggerBlog for future OHer fans. They're a doorway to our shared narrative.

Whatever happened to the site, I would be that Chig has a back-up copy somewhere. So all is probably not lost.

Don't wait for someone to bring you flowers : plant your own garden.
