Man, Wikipedia has been crashing my browser all day long.

I just tried a page and noticed no change in performance, no crashes, fairly fast load.
What browser are you using and how old is the version?

MSIE for my couple year old XP laptop. Ive tried about six pages today. Had to reboot every time.

Reboot? Gor, I hope you mean just relaunching IE. ... It doesn't crash your whole system, does it?!

Nope. Everything got laggy afterward, and MSIE would not reopen. Rebooting seemed to fix it.

Oh well. It works again. It was just my office machine yesterday apparently. they have some wacky security settings here. Maybe that was it.

Wikipedia goes through spells of malfunctioning. I'm not sure what the cause is, but it's not rare for me to experience some kind of down time on the site at least once a week.
