For sure but it's always nice just to look at a copy in such super (or should that be Ultra in HLP newspeak) condition.
Look, I'm not much good at big speeches, and I know I haven't always been an easy guy to get on with, and I know, that given the choice, I wouldn't have chosen you as friends, but I just want to say, that over the years, I have come to regard you as people I met.

Even in fine condition isn't that asking a bit much?

Is that really the going rate? Wow!

Here's one for $13K:

But it is only in very good condition.

in 45 years, McDune fans will be posting links to their books for sale for $13. The commentary will be much the same:
"even in fine condition isn't that asking a bit much?"
"that is more than I've ever seen one go for, way more."
that is, of course, assuming that the literary powers that be haven't already banned the books from production and sale, and collected all copies to purge them from existence..

I think either one is a very plausible scenario

I've seen them go for a bit less signed... that does seem highish to me.
I deleted some of your posts because they were derailing the topic and not focusing on the issues asked, and instead going after the authors or their material. That's why. ~ BM

$13K and the idiot cannot even get the right edition's photo up?

I saw a presentation copy several years ago signed from Herbert over to Vincent Price. That seller wanted $5,500 for it, and I thought that was a bit much.

Even at $9k, that is very impressive. I had no idea they went for that much.
