Chris Nolan movie

Post by Omphalos »

Not sure what this is, but then again it doesn't look like anyone knows anything. Couldn't find anything on The Hollywood Reporter or Ain't It Cool. But I don't really need to know. Nolan could sell me a ticket to a film of Magic Johnson reading the paper on the crapper.

(Is that Nix person not a native speaker of English? Sheesh.)

Oh yeah ... have I ever mentioned how MUCH I hate DiCaputio?

I don't know about Nix. I think he's just a young'n. He certainly seems to like some pretty stupid movies. But he doesn't miss much on his blog.

I'll be there for it. Nolan has had a few misses (Insomnia, The Prestige), but by he has done some amazing films. He's the kind of director whose good films I can watch over and over again. Following, Memento, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are some of my favorite films. I've heard very little about Inception, but if Nolan is trying sci-fi, he already has my money :)

I'm fine with DeCaprio as an actor. Like Johnny Depp or Jennifer Connelly, Leonardo DeCaprio has successfully made a distinct transition from annoying teen beat cover kid into an actor capable of legitimate performances that earn respect. His films with Martin Scorsese have been solid work (Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed). I don't blame actors like these for using teen success to build themselves into a credible career.

I never saw The Prestige, but I loved Insomnia. Used to own a copy of it as a matter of fact, before the destructo-duo got to it.
