Star Wars: Clone Wars, animated movie trailer

Post by Omphalos »

Obviously never knowing when enough of a bad thing is enough, Lucas is putting out a new theatrical release set in the Star Wars universe that is set between episodes 1 & 2 (perhaps its time for someone to articulate a benchmark of crap as an "interquel," no?) Anywho, here is the link. Color this one as a DVD release for the kids, AFAIC.

I thought it was between 2 & 3. The only Star Wars thing I'm looking forward to now is the new video game Force Unleashed.

I'm okay with the majority of the Star Wars films, but almost all the spin offs have been much worse than the weakest of the feature films. I'm not really feeling it from this new production.

Spiff and I went to see the Clone Wars last night while our son was in rehersals. It was okay, but personally I feel like it was gear more toward children than die-hard SW fans.

It opened too many questions for me. But from what I gathered it does take place between movies 2 and 3.

So, in other words, it's kinda like the new "Dune" books, then?

Geared towards little people with short attention spans, I mean. ;)

Yeah, this "Clone Wars" flick just looked too "Disney". I don't mind g-like movies if they are made and presented as such. No one faults Nemo for being a pile of fluff; it's an exceptionally entertaining fluff film. But with something like Star Wars, there has to be some death, some engagement even on the most superficial dramatic level and some kind of challenging story, otherwise what's the point? :)

Hell yeah! From all I hear, that game's gonna rock.

Only about 3 weeks away now.... unless it gets pushed back yet again..... :x
