Cowboys and Aliens

Post by Omphalos »

I was psyched for this for the longest time. But you know, I've beem seeing soooo much promo material for it lately, it makes me feel like they are over doing it because they know its gonna suck.

Like this:

Instead of talking about the film, they advertise that there's gonna be some titty/tushie in it. Classic desperation tactic to try to maximize the box office take weekend #1.

Olivia's gonna be naked? That could be worth paying to see but I'm sure I won't.

I just found out about it from commercials, I'll probably see it in theatres, I like the blonde-Bond actor fellow, so it could potentially be ok.
I deleted some of your posts because they were derailing the topic and not focusing on the issues asked, and instead going after the authors or their material. That's why. ~ BM

One of our Apache family has a small bit in the movie.

Got the graphic novel today at Borders. The drain-swirling bargain hunting has commenced!

I've been seeing the trailers a lot. Looks like one of the cheesiest things to come along in a while. But hey, that doesn't mean I won't see it.

If there was, I couldn't find it, either.

Has anyone read the graphic novel? Does it have the same dea-ex-machina problem as the film?

Saw it Saturday. Not a terrible movie, but they should have used someone besides Harrison Ford, he is awful. The plot was silly, but I enjoyed it for what it was... turn off brain, shove popcorn in mouth. I love the premise of the movie a lot though, it would have been great if they'd made it into something besides a typical action movie.

ALSO Daniel Craig's ass looks great in chaps.

If you guys go see it, check the credits for a C/Kaleb Blaylock, that's the brother of our native friends who was one of the native singers in the movie.
