Too much politics in that right now to make sense... Maybe they should wait after the election ? Or simply give the money to the tax payers... 8) Good idea. Let's see, roughly about 200 million tax payers over the age of 18, and not in prison etc. Let's just look at the 85 billion to bail out AIG (...

Thanks everyone, for your help. If that is it, its pretty awesome how one little comment like that would start a landslide of web searches, huh? Well, I guess we can't be sure that was it, but that site gets a TON of traffic. When I read it, I was going to look it up as well. People over there like...

I don't put anything past that bitch anymore. I wonder what Hag has already told him and why he doesn't just open it back up. Something is keeping him from doing it.....either he doesn't feel it's his place, he is siding with her for the time being, or she's told him some whacked out story and he's ...

I understand that Chig, but I honestly don't think he's going to do anything. He probably feels like it's not his place anymore since he's taken so much time off. That might not be the case, but if he hasn't decided to do anything yet, I'm not sure he ever will. I hope I'm wrong, but only to get tha...

Perhaps most damning of all though, is not the simularities in plot. Nor the simularities in the characters, the powers, or the techs. The most damning peice of evidence that Star Wars is derived from Dune is that the original script was rejected by the studio because it was almost exactly the same...

All these ideas sound great. I'm with B on this one. You're right Omph, that movie has to be the worst adaptation from a novel in film history. The movie left out about 70% of material that I felt was crucial to the story. Just terrible. I thought it was one of the better adaptations of King's works. It starts out kinda slow and gets a bit hokey there for a bit, but stick with it, it gets MUCH better.
